What is your hometown, what brought you to The Emerald Coast and how long you have been here?
Fort Walton Beach is my hometown. My father was military when we moved here in 1969 and I just never left!
What is your profession?
I am an agent and property manager for Backstage Realty in Niceville, FL, and I specialize in residential real estate sales.
I offer a unique experience of the Destin lifestyle through video and photography, which allows me to show Destin’s quality of life through media advancement.
These enhanced offerings of the community give the customer a unique vision of life here before settling in this area. It is my goal that each customer feels a part of our community before the big move.

What led you to choose this profession?
I fell into real estate by chance. I was working as a Notary processing loan documents for home refinance loans.
I thought if I had an understanding of the documents I could put the signers at ease.
I should have taken a mortgage loan class, but God obviously led me to take a real estate class and I just fell in love with the profession.
What are a few of your special accomplishments?
You mean besides my two sons and their families???
I have been ECAR FWB Realtor of the Year in 2007 and 2012.
WCR Emerald Coast Chapter: Local Chapter President – 2010, Member of the Year – 2008, Entrepreneur of the Year – 2013.
WCR Florida State Chapter: Entrepreneur of the Year – 2014 and District 8/9 Vice President – 2015.
What do you like best about Destin? What makes it unique?
Growing up here I certainly have seen the surrounding areas expand, which allows me to share enjoyable stories with my customers. I can remember Destin as the little fishing village that rolled up after Labor Day and opened back up by Memorial Day. Destin is a picture postcard come to life.
I can’t tell you how many times I cross the Destin Bridge and the beauty takes my breath away! I have watched Destin grow from a little fishing village to a resort destination with numerous dining and shopping experiences.
One thing that hasn’t changed is the love of the water, great fishing, amazing seafood, breathtaking beaches, and southern hospitality. Whenever I travel and people discover I am from the Destin, people ALWAYS say how nice and friendly everyone is. I just laugh and explain how we love where we live and are happy to share. You call it Paradise…but I call this HOME!
I can’t get through the day without...
Checking my phone for email, texts, and social media….of course!!!
