Earlier this week, Robbie and I went to eat lunch at one of our favorite little restaurants in Niceville.
You know, one of those cozy little places that you hope no one else finds because you want to be able to get a seat anytime you want!
Well, this place is call the Front Porch.
Several months ago a friend of ours mentioned that she had a part-time job at the Front Porch so we decided to give it a try, and it is fabulous!
First, there is no such thing as portion control at this place. Think of large servings, so come hungry!
As you enter the restaurant you feel like you are transported back in time with its quaint style, eclectic decorations, local artwork, and treasures from the past.
There are simple little tables that are so close you can’t help but meet a new friend at the next table. Not to mention a great view of what they ordered!
I love their Cobb Salad which could feed an Army, and the famous Chicken Salad with cranberries and nuts!
Robbie has enjoyed their Chicken Caesar Salad and would have sworn an entire chicken was on top!
This trip she ordered the Spicy Shrimp Salad as she was afraid the other would be too much. Well, guess what? The shrimp salad was very filling.
Although I have not visited the Front Porch for breakfast, the rumor on the street is that it is fabulous! Hopefully one day I will get to try that as well, and then can update this blog.
The prices are great and the staff is always friendly, especially the owner! His name is George and he is always behind the counter taking the money and making sure all is well with everyone!
I just love eating here and hope you will too. Just don’t make it a habit, because I still need my seat there!
